ParkSim
Design a theme park in your browser, then watch it operate: lines build, wait times update live, afternoon storms put coasters on lightning hold, and rides break down.
- 01
Discrete-event simulation engine
A pure-Python engine that jumps from event to event instead of updating every guest every tick, so a full day with 8,000 guests runs in a few seconds.
- 02
Python in the browser
The same engine runs in a Web Worker through Pyodide (Python compiled to WebAssembly) or on a FastAPI server over WebSockets, and the same seed produces the identical day in both.
- 03
Guests, weather and incidents
Guests decide where to go from the posted wait times, pop-up thunderstorms trigger lightning holds, rides break down and get repaired, and injured guests need a First Aid station.
- 04
Built like production code
A pytest suite with about 95% branch coverage, ruff linting, strict TypeScript and GitHub Actions CI on Python 3.12–3.14.
